It’s a boy! Or is it a girl? One thing is for sure… their new baby sure knows how to cook!

George and Park and the entire extended Memphis Blues Barbeque House family are pleased to announce the birth (er, opening) of their first location in Downtown Vancouver, proudly located at 430 Robson Street, between Homer and Richards.

Grand opening celebration plans are in the works for later in July, but they just couldn’t wait to open the great glass doors to feed their famished fans. So now that the boys have gone downtown, are they planning on doing anything differently?

“Naaaaah,” replies George matter-of-factly. “Everything about Robson will be what our customers have come to expect from Memphis Blues – killer southern barbeque, prices that are easy on any budget, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a comfortable atmosphere. What else is there?”

“Well for one,” continues Park, “We’re so close to the great sports and music arenas of our city that it’s so much easier to enjoy our food before or after the game or the show! Plus – there are three big-screen TVs so our customers can enjoy any of the away games with their friends and family.”

“And of course,” concludes George, “Robson will also be shiny and new. For a minute or two, at least.”

Robson Street franchise owners David, Rose and Ashley McDonald, seasoned veterans of the Vancouver restaurant scene, are thrilled to be at the helm of the newest location.

“We are extremely excited to now be a part of the Memphis Blues family,” says Ashley. “With summer just around the corner in this beautiful city, we are thrilled to be opening in the heart of Downtown Vancouver. We can’t wait to serve up some amazing southern grub, serving it alongside our vast bourbon list and our hand-picked selection of craft beer and wine!”

Grand Opening events, scheduled for early July, are so far set to include limited-time discounts for our social media followers, Memphis Blues’ first Twitter “Meat Up”, as well as prizes, giveaways, succulent samples, music, and much more!
