Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and Japadog, Vancouver’s favorite Japanese-style hotdog vendor, are challenging visitors to become Top Dog at the Japadog Eating Contest happening Friday, August 17 at YVR. Participants will have the chance to win big prizes and even bigger bragging rights.

Hotdog lovers are encouraged to visit the Japadog stand at YVR’s Chester Johnson Park (outside International Arrivals, Level 2) from now until August 8 to to enter for a chance to compete in this summer’s ultimate eat-off: a battle royale among six contestants to see who can eat the most Japadogs in 10 minutes.
All Eating Contest participants will receive $15 YVR bucks and a $10 Japadog gift certificate. The winner will take home a grand prize of $250 YVR bucks and a $50 Japadog gift certificate. Contestants will be chosen at random on Thursday, August 9, and contacted by phone. Participants must be 19 years of age or older.
The Japadog Eating Contest is a brand new addition to YVR’s 3rd Annual ‘Take-Off Fridays’ event, a fun-for-the-whole-family summer extravaganza, offering visitors free samples, great music, live DJs and tons of exciting new entertainment, every Friday, all summer long.
