If there’s one thing to know about me is that I really love desserts, food in general is my weakness but a good dessert will get me every time. Cheesecake is one of my childhood favorites-I remember when my Mom made me a Belgian chocolate cheesecake and it being one of the BEST I have ever had, I ended up almost eating the entire thing. Since then I’ve enjoyed many a piece of cheesecake in all different flavors from savory to sweet, one place though that I have never had a piece of cheesecake from is Trees Organic, they claim to have the best in the city so let’s see just how good it is!

My selection flavor wise was one that I also have never had before-a Black Forest Cake inspired cheesecake called The Sin. A mix of sour cherries and Belgian chocolate with a dark cookie crust-how can you go wrong! I was really happy with the rich, dense texture to the cheesecake at Trees, they definitely have a New York style about their cheesecakes. The sour cherry flavor wasn’t to strong, the Belgian chocolate came through nicely with a hint of bitterness while the white portions added a rich, creamy flavor. Personally I think I could have done without the caramel sauce on the bottom because I feel It didn’t go with the cakes flavors, the chocolate sauce on other hand was a nice touch with the whipped cream.
Overall I enjoyed Trees Organic and they had a delicious looking selection of cakes to choose from. Priced at $6.99 a slice there an affordable, decadent indulgence that I’m looking forward to more of!
