Street Food Friday:The Classic Grilled Cheese

The classic grilled cheese is the focus of this Street Food Friday and who else better than Mom’s Grilled Cheese to serve it up!  The Mom’s Grilled Cheese Truck recently celebrated there 1 year anniversary and what a busy year it has been.  The crew at Mom’s has really made grilled cheese accessible to everyone with Gluten Free bread available along with a specific area to prepare these sandwiches to insure there GFree safe as well as Vegan Dairy free cheese everyone can get down with some grilled cheese goodness.

To show their thanks for all the love and support they did a draw for free grilled cheese for a year and all I can say is that I wish I was that lucky guy!

For my lunch I went with the classic Grilled Cheddar Cheese Sandwich but had to kick it up with some Double Smoked Bacon and of course it was on marble rye.  With copious amounts of cheddar cheese and that thick cut bacon this was a pleasure to eat-it’s the definition of what a great grilled cheese is.  With a side of Hard Bite potato chips that are locally made here in Vancouver to add some crunch and a couple dill pickle spears to cut the richness I was a happy, greasy handed camper when I was finished this yummy comfort food classic.

  1. Josh here from the BlinkPack blog. I just went to my first food truck rally and thought I would try to find others who were into the craze as well. Your blog is great. I wish you all the best with your blogging. Cheers!
